November began with the students wanting to do something to help those who had been affected by the wildfires in San Diego County. A week-long penny war, resulted in over $600 raised, which was donated to the San Diego Red Cross. One day was also designated as “Thank a Firefighter Day”; thank you cards were made and distributed to local fire stations.

The month of December will be just as busy. Due to the wildfires, our annual Disneyland trip was postponed to December 1st. The Winter Wonderland Dance took place on December 6, in the school lunch court from 2:30-4:00. As well, ASB will sponsor our annual Canned Food Drive, and the last week of school prior to the winter break Homebases will compete in the Holiday Door Decorating contest. Our students leaders are always hard at work!
